Change your discovery+ plan
Depending on how you subscribed, you may be able to change your plan or billing period.
Find your current plan
To find your current plan, do the following:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile icon (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section you'll find your current plan: Basic, Standard, Premium.

Change your plan
The steps for changing your discovery+ plan vary depending how you signed up. Not sure who you subscribed through? Go to Who's billing me?
Choose how you subscribed:
- discoveryplus.com
- Amazon Appstore
- Amazon Prime Video Channels
- Apple
- Google Play (Android device)
- Roku
Subscribed at discoveryplus.com
If you started your subscription at discoveryplus.com, here's how to change your plan:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile icon (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section choose Change pass.
If Change pass isn't available, your subscription may be billed through an app store or with your TV package. - Under the plan description, choose Change pass.
Once your subscription is updated, you'll get an email confirming the change.
When will my plan change take effect?
The effective date depends on the change:
- If you change to a lower-tier plan (e.g. Basic), your plan change will happen on your next billing date.
- If you change to a higher-tier plan (e.g. Standard), your plan change happens immediately. You'll be charged the price difference between plans and your next billing date will be adjusted.
Subscribed through Amazon Appstore
To change your discovery+ plan, cancel your subscription, and resubscribe with a different plan. Here's how:
- Cancel your subscription through the Amazon Appstore.
- Wait for your subscription to expire.
- Once your subscription has expired, resubscribe to discovery+ and choose a different plan and/or billing period.

Subscribed through Amazon Prime Video Channels
To change your discovery+ plan, cancel your subscription, and resubscribe with a different plan. Here's how:
- Go to Manage Your Prime Video Channels and sign in to your Amazon account (if prompted).
- Find discovery+ in the Prime Video Channels section.
- Choose the Cancel Channel option and confirm.
- Wait for your subscription to expire.
- Once your subscription has expired, resubscribe to discovery+ and choose a different plan and/or billing period.

Subscribed through Apple
Here's how to change your discovery+ plan billed through Apple:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app.
- Tap your name, then choose Subscriptions (if prompted, enter your Apple ID).
- Choose discovery+ and then select a different subscription option.
Your plan change will happen immediately.

Subscribed through Google Play (Android)
You can change your subscription on the web or using your Android phone or tablet. Here's how:
On the web
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile icon (upper right) and then Account.
- In the Subscription section, choose Change pass.
- Under the plan description, choose Change pass.
- Follow the steps to complete your plan change.
On your Android phone or tablet
- Open the discovery+ app and sign in (if needed).
- Choose Account (bottom right) and then Account.
- Choose Manage Account and then Change Pass.
- Under the plan description, choose Change Pass.
- Follow the steps to complete your plan change.
Your plan change will happen immediately.

Subscribed through Roku
Here's how to change your discovery+ plan billed through Roku:
- In discovery+ on your Roku device, choose the Settings icon (lower left) and then Subscription.
- Choose Change Your Plan.
- Choose a new plan.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your new plan change through Roku.
Once your subscription is updated, you should get an email from Roku confirming the change.

- If you change to a higher-tier plan (Standard), your plan change happens immediately. You'll be charged the price difference between plans and your next billing date will be adjusted.

Who's billing me?
If you're not sure who bills you for discovery+, search your email accounts for a discovery+ subscription email (try searching for discovery+).
You can also find who bills you in the Subscription section. Here's how:
- Sign in at discoveryplus.com.
- Choose your profile (upper right) and then Account.
- Go to the Subscription section.
- If discovery+ bills you, you'll see the option to cancel.
- If a TV, broadband, or mobile provider bills you, you'll see discovery+ via (company name).
- If an app store bills you, you'll see 'Changes to this subscription must be made on the app store' message.
If you subscribed via an app store, here's how to find your discovery+ subscription:
- Amazon: Sign in to your Amazon account at amazon.co.uk/appstoresubscriptions. In the Your Subscriptions section, look for a discovery+ subscription.
- Amazon Prime Video Channels: Sign in to your Amazon account at amazon.co.uk/myac. In the Prime Video Channels section, look for a discovery+ subscription.
- Apple: Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and then choose your name. Choose Subscriptions (if prompted, sign in with your Apple ID). Look for a discovery+ subscription.
- Google Play: Open the Play Store app, and choose your profile (upper right). Choose Payments & subscriptions and then Subscriptions. Look for a discovery+ subscription. (If you have multiple Google accounts, switch Google accounts in the upper-right corner and repeat these steps.)
- Roku: Go to my.roku.com/subscriptions. Then, look for a discovery+ subscription.
